MURAL PROJECT IN LUXEMBOURG
CID is launching an open call for artists to redesign its façade as part of a new artistic project.
The current installation by Karen Decker is being replaced due to weather-related deterioration.
We are now inviting artists to propose a new mural that reflects the theme:
“35 Years of CID | Fraen an Gender”
Who can apply?
Applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have their main residence in Luxembourg
- Be available at the end of June 2026
- Be willing to participate in a public selection process
- Submit a sketch that may be published
Artwork requirements
- The artwork will be painted or sprayed directly onto a façade
- Dimensions: 240cm x 320cm (HxW)
- Must reflect the given theme
What we offer
- Artist fee: 1500€ (all taxes included)
- Coverage of material costs
Timeline
- Call open: April 1 – May 1, 2026
- Preselection: May 5, 2026
- Public presentation & voting: May 11 – May 31, 2026
- Winner announcement: June 1, 2026
- Realisation: end of June / early July (to be completed for CID Summer Festival, July 6)
