Library CID: women and gender knowledge

Since 1992, there is a place in Luxembourg for people who you are interested in feminism, topics surrounding gender, equality between genders and refuse to conform to gender stereotypes.

The library, which has been part of the project from the beginning, has gradually grown in the past 30 years. Today you can find:-

  • more than 30,500 works in total (specialized literature, novels, literature for children/youth and audio books, music CDs and scores)
  • an extensive music department with 3,400 scores over 700 reference books and 4750 music CDs
  • in addition, there are about 40 current (international) magazine subscriptions (and over 140 different magazines in the archive)
  • Simultaneously, the library contains many archives concerning female Luxembourgish composers, Luxembourgish women’s history and the women’s movement
  • The library offers workspace for research and a reading café
  • Lending conditions

Tuesday: 14 – 18 o’clock

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 10 AM – 18 PM

Saturday: 10 – 12:30 o’clock
